Alliance Communications get the Midas touch - It's Official
It was officially announced today that Bristol-based Alliance Communications have merged with one of Europe’s longest standing independent telecom providers to form a powerful new force in the telecoms industry.
Alliance, who specialise in business telecommunications solutions, have joined forces with Midas Telecom who have been trading in Europe and the UK since 1995. The new company, AMI Solutions Ltd, will continue to trade under the Alliance brand.
Alliance was set up two years ago and provides more than 200 business customers throughout the South West with voice and data solutions, including telephony systems, mobile services, broadband and VOIP (voice over IP).
Midas Telecom, initially establish to provide low cost communications for HM Forces personnel serving overseas, has since widened its coverage to include thousands of business and residential customers in the UK, Spain, Germany and Worldwide.
Midas have invested considerably in managed voice and data services and advanced IP solutions. The merger with Alliance will enable both companies to further expand their B2B markets, through both organic growth and acquisition. Miles Watson, Director of Alliance Communications, says the new set up will deliver a raft of cutting edge communications solutions.
“Our initial aim is to be the leading communications provider to the small and medium business sector in the South West and then to grow nationally, providing integrated voice and data solutions”.
To achieve this, the new venture will be seeking to acquire further businesses and establish a dealer channel and partnerships with IT providers. Chris Clarke, from Midas Telecom, says the merger with Alliance will enable them to drive technology forward.
“We have the back office support and infrastructure in place and will be able to build and deliver the latest managed voice and data services to business customers in the UK and Europe.”
