The challenge
Providing IP telephony while retaining existing numbers and web infrastructure
The client’s existing phone system had reached end of life and would not support IP telephony or the features and functionality this provides. Additionally, the business wanted to utilise their current EFM Internet connection to drive cost efficiencies. This would involve porting their existing business numbers into the new system / solution.
The Solution
Hosted 8×8 platform
We upgraded the company onto the hosted 8×8 cloud communications platform. This enterprise- standard solution enables remote working and provides superb flexibility, with access to the full suite of functions from any location or device. We utilised the client’s existing EFM internet circuit to deliver IP hosted telephony, which meant they could cancel their existing BT lines. Using our various porting agreements with networks we were also able to port all of the existing numbers that needed to be retained into the new system.
